RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, develop, and maintain SAS databases and analytical programs to support pricing and reserving functions.
  • Support the Analytics function to provide business insights for all companies and all lines of business.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of DB through continuous balancing to Financials and other DBs to satisfy Financial Control Framework requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University or college degree in computer science, computer engineering, statistics, mathematics or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of data manipulation in any complex programming languages to demonstrate logical reasoning and databases knowledge.
  • Experience with SAS/EG, SQL / Complex SQL, SQL Server, SSIS, DB2, Teradata or equivalent.
  • Background in building technical solutions based on business requirements.
  • Experience in building data management processes using SAS and SAS Macros.
  • Working experience in MS Excel and Access is required.
  • System analysis, design and implementation, full SDLC.
  • Excellent problem solving and programming/analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, to multitask and take initiative when required.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work product.
  • Strong Communication skills.
  • Familiarity with P&C insurance.
  • Working knowledge of Mainframe Easytrieve and JCL and comprehensive knowledge of data warehouses would be a definite asset .
  • Experience using VB, R, WebFOCUS, Qlik Sense would be a definite asset.
  • Exposure in financial reporting system.
