RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct reinsurance treaty pricing analysis using actuarial pricing models and communicated findings to internal audience.
  • Collect, analyze, and validate statistical data and effectively communicate on data issues with internal and external customers.
  • Prepare accurate summarized actuarial and statistical data exhibits for internal and external customers.
  • Prepare renewal quotes and assist in contracts, accounting and systems departments in making sure treaties are properly administered.
  • Assist in department activities in profitability management, client analytics, research & development, and actuarial support of other areas.
  • Some travel required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related degree.
  • 3-6 CAS exams passed and active participation toward achievement of CAS designation.
  • At least two years of experience in an actuarial role.
  • Strong technical, mathematical, and data aptitude.
  • Strong Excel skills; moderate knowledge with other Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint, Word and Access. SQL programming experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical topics to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to work on tasks independently and contribute in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Careful attention to detail and advanced problem solving skills.
