  • Conduct analysis in support of Actuarial staff.
  • Interprets data and identifies trends.
  • May offer recommendations.
  • May participate in discussions regarding underwriting strategy.
  • Communicates results and their implications to business centers.
  • Prepares responses to inquiries from insurance regulators.
  • Oversees programming in SAS, Excel, Access or company software.
  • Is a resource for complex programming issues.
  • Participates in or is responsible for advanced projects.
  • May presents findings to underwriting and actuarial management.
  • Provide assistance to less experienced staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education required.
  • 1 year analytics experience required.
  • College degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, finance, statistics or equivalent preferred.
  • 2 years’ analytics experience preferred. 5+ years of insurance experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and solid understanding of financial reporting. - Strong knowledge of insurance products and operations.
  • Good understanding of insurance related models.
  • Demonstrated ability in actuarial and quantitative analysis and statistical concepts.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of computers, programming, Excel spreadsheets, Word and database software.
  • Working knowledge of quantitative analysis.
