RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Management of financial risks in company, by working closely with other departments to identify, assess, mitigate and monitor financial risks.
  • Provides support to the Financial Risk Committee in its role in the oversight of financial risks and, ensuring that policies and frameworks are implemented appropriately and consistently.
  • To also perform the company’s Own Risk and Solvency Assessment, review risk-related policies, prepare risk reports and promote a conducive risk management culture.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree Holder.
  • Ideally 2 years’ experience in financial risk management or related areas.
  • Having relevant financial risk management certifications or equivalent qualifications would be beneficial, e.g. CERA, CFA
  • Good working knowledge of risk management and capital frameworks, experience in credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, and understanding of risk modelling, stress testing and investment activities would be an advantage.
  • Experience in the life insurance industry.
  • Good communication and influencing skills.
