RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide risk analysis services to underwriters and brokers as part of the corporate CAT team.
  • Processing the submission data files, modeling the policy options and locations in Riskbrowser / Risklink.
  • Modeling multiple policy options on a timely manner and communicating the results to underwriters / brokers.
  • Documenting assumptions and updating data and model dictionaries.
  • Provide risk analysis SME support and training to underwriting and modeling partners.
  • Post bind modeling of accounts with final bound schedules and terms.
  • Monthly portfolio roll up of individual MGU books using multiple vendor models - AIR / RMS.
  • Generating EDMs / RDMs and corresponding portfolio reports for carrier reporting.
  • Communicating portfolio analytic reports to MGU leads and senior management.
  • Collaborate and support the development of advanced portfolio management analytics.
  • Participate with the actuarial team in providing integrated business solutions.
  • Support event response for real time catastrophe events.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor degree in science, engineering, mathematics, finance or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, VBA, SQL, R or Python.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ catastrophe modeling experience.
  • Experience in using catastrophe models, including RMS and AIR and a broad understanding of statistical methods used in CAT models.
  • A good understanding of property insurance business.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Strong business and collaborative skills, and responsive to service needs and operational demands.
