  • Utilizing SQL, responsible for monthly uploading to global Georisk portfolio of local risk exposures.
  • Use advanced data analysis and manipulation, provide insight and dynamics of exposure shift through time and the actual and potential consequential impacts upon the Canadian portfolios with recommendations for action.
  • Assist with modelling individual large risks for underwriters utilizing various modelling tools.
  • Support the Reinsurance function as requested through data research and analysis.
  • Leverage learnings from industry and market in relation to catastrophe modelling, exposure and accumulation management.
  • University/College degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or business.
  • Cat Modelling experience is an asset.
  • P&C experience.
  • Out-of-the-box thinker, always striving for new ways of doing things.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to complex issues that have an impact across large areas of the business utilizing database tools such as Access, SQL, SAS.
  • Knowledge of property and casualty insurance and/or reinsurance is an asset.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eager to jump in and provide analytical support for all tactical and ad hoc initiatives and manage projects as required.
  • Results oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
