RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage a team to build, manage, and maintain integrated performance Dashboards & Reports based on multiple data sources to keep Executive Management fully informed.
  • Provide regular reporting and maintain ongoing communications to senior management, stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Integrate multiple data sources and current & future reporting tools to deliver insightful, compelling, and effective analyses to strategically grow the business by identifying target areas for growth.
  • Work together with cross-functional teams to help form a unified growth strategy.
  • Provide data and insight to drive improved forecasting accuracy.
  • Support cross-functional teams through focused business analysis based on available data, including Marketing, Product Operations, Finance and IT.
  • Provide input to Risk Management team’s tactical plans and directions.
  • Ensure on-going effective position and integration of the risk management function to create and sustain success.
  • Implement and maintain an optimal organization design, including alignment of roles, accountabilities and authorities, and alignment of tasks within the Business Intelligence team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve performance, ensure compliance, maintain standards, ensure understanding of changes, and support effective decision making.
  • Drive decisions and communicate effectively with other functional departments to shorten the learning curve and enable quicker impact.
  • Ensure the appropriate availability of resources for the Business Intelligence team, including the necessary financial resources, technology resources and the acquisition and talent pool development of optimal human resources.
  • Ensure implementation of data verification and communicate results to confirm compliance with overall company and regulatory, legal and ethical policies and requirements.
  • Ensure implementation and maintain control mechanisms within the Data Analyst area to comply with Sarbanes Oxley legislation.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years extensive reporting and analytical experience.
  • 5 years of analysis of operating results.
  • MBA, CFA, MMA or equivalent.
  • Technical knowledge of applications such as SQL Server, SPSS, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Access and data management tools.
  • Experience managing and developing people.
  • Extensive product, price, risk management, insurance regulation and rate plan knowledge.
  • Ability to measure, evaluate and act on results.
  • Complex decision-making skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with peers and subordinates to reach goals.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to present information in an organized, logical and effective manner to a wide variety of audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Integration skills, to effectively erase the boundaries between the operational departments and promote the concept of one cohesive team.
  • Identifying new ideas, techniques and opportunities for improving effectiveness, performance, and productivity is essential.
  • Ability to take evaluated risks or initiating actions to capitalize on opportunities is important.
