  • Work independently and on teams, collaborating with consulting staff, peers, and others to provide actuarial expertise and consulting services to clients.
  • Completing complex valuation and actuarial projects using advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Providing technical guidance to and mentoring junior team members to include reviewing and checking their work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participating on special projects designed to address emerging and/or unique retirement issues posed by client organizations.
  • Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related discipline.
  • ASA credential preferred, but if not yet credentialed, active, progressive movement towards credential must be evident.
  • 5-7 years of related pension plan actuarial experience with a consulting firm or insurance company.
  • knowledge of ERISA.
  • Demonstrated task and project management skills.
  • Strong detail orientation, organizational and analytical skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact, as well as present information, effectively with a diverse audience.
  • Programming skills required.
  • Travel to client meetings as needed.
