RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Developing, maintaining, and updating reports and databases and implementing enhancements in MS Excel and MS Access.
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting to internal and external parties such as submissions and internal sales reports.
  • Supporting re-price initiatives and product launches by providing insightful and accurate data to inform pricing on various products and riders.
  • Developing calculators and updating premium rate checkers.
  • Leading or assisting in the production of experience studies to help update and refine our pricing assumptions. Involves extracting data from tables, investigating data anomalies, assessing credibility, summarizing results in a report format, etc.
  • Focus on control environment, ensuring compliance with internal and external auditors, and model risk best practices.
  • Handling ad hoc requests including those from other teams in Individual Customer.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Management Information Systems, data analytics, or actuarial background would be an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of PC based technology specifically Excel and Access.
  • Solid Programming skills for Excel / Access Macros & VBA.
  • Knowledge of AXIS software would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of individual disability and critical illness products would be an asset.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy required.
