RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead feasibility analysis and pricing projects for new institutional annuity products; including deriving assumptions, constructing pricing models, performing in-depth analysis of profit and risk, producing product approval presentations, and supporting product implementation.
  • Direct case specific Pension Risk Transfer pricing through case analysis and assumption selection; ensuring profitability targets are met.
  • Oversee model management within the team including expansion of model capabilities and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and quality control in pricing processes.
  • Enhance the pricing framework for institutional products such as establishing a new financial framework in pricing and assessing pricing/profitability metrics.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Implementation, Product Analytics, Risk Management, Valuation, Finance, Compliance, Technology, and Operations throughout the product development process.
  • Manage and develop 2 direct reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • FSA designation in the Society of Actuaries with at least 7 years of actuarial experience.
  • Significant experience with actuarial modeling software; experience with MoSes or Prophet a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of STAT and GAAP profit metrics is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including programming experience.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects and meet tight deadlines with thoughtful planning and effective execution.
  • Effective communication skills to present business solutions in a clear and concise manner and to collaborate effectively with actuarial and non-actuarial partners.
  • Managerial experience is a plus.
