  • Extract and prepare exposure data for catastrophe risk analysis.
  • Analyze changes in exposure and associated impact on modeling results.
  • Develop exposure aggregation or limit profile reports to monitor risk accumulations for property and other lines of business.
  • Model exposure using AIR’s technology platform.
  • Analyze and report risk/exposure to natural catastrophes; support analysis and reporting.
  • Validate that modeled results are appropriate, understand and communicate nuances behind model results.
  • Prepare independent insight and commentary on modeling summary narratives and other deliverables.
  • Use stochastic modeling software to generate alternative view of risk.
  • Assist with the preparation of external reporting to rating and regulatory agencies.
  • Assist with preparation of data extracts and final exhibits for reinsurance submission.
  • Under minimal supervision, perform moderately complex to complex work assignments and problem resolution.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other highly quantitative field.
  • Strong analytical ability, critical thinking and problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong programing/coding skills in SQL required.
  • Proficiency in at least one other programing languages such as Python or R recommended.
  • Fluency in Microsoft products required.
  • Ability to develop new programming skills quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical details in basic terms.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Practical experience with data analysis, clean up, validation in a work or academic setting.
  • Familiar with insurance and reinsurance terminology and principles.
  • Task oriented and able to meet deadlines.
