  • Calculating the natural catastrophe exposure for various geographical regions served by the company.
  • Supporting and advising the responsible market departments in all matters associated with recording and monitoring aggregates from natural hazards as well as tracking capacities and planning.
  • Contributing to the creation, updating and refinement of scenario analyses within and beyond the field of natural catastrophe risks.
  • Participating in the creation and maintenance of the internal IT applications used within the division.
  • Regular reporting on all key figures required for risk measurement for the Group, the subsidiaries and for external requirements.
  • Degree in mathematics, business mathematics or related disciplines with a quantitative orientation.
  • Programming skills as well as knowledge of databases and SQL.
  • Initial experience in risk management or in the actuarial office at a primary insurer or reinsurer would be an advantage.
  • Proficient user skills in German and English.
  • Willingness to go on occasional business trips and intercultural skills.
  • Outstanding capacity for analytical thinking.
  • Sharp perceptive faculties as well as creativity.
  • Problem-solving skills and conceptual abilities.
  • Open and assured manner in dealings with internal and external customers and are able to give presentations on complex issues.
