RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Introduction to project management and client management.
  • Carry out analysis and do actuarial calculations.
  • Perform necessary calculations or analysis on special retirement projects.
  • Drafting actuarial valuation reports.
  • Communicate with clients through participation in client meetings and presentations.
  • Assist Senior Consultants with day to day client contact and problem resolution.
  • Be responsible for data analysis using the in-house pension administration software.
  • Act as intermediary between the team members and the clients regarding the conditions of plans and members’ entitlements.
  • Carry out research on questions related to pensions and benefits by consulting previous working papers, plan documents and applicable legislation when required.
  • Mentor junior staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in pension plans.
  • Working towards FCIA designation with the successful completion of a minimum of four actuarial exams.
  • Strong ability to analyze problems with accuracy and solve them.
  • Strong aptitude for communication, organization and negotiation.
  • Aptitude for taking initiative and working as well without supervision as in a team.
  • Excellent ability to multi-task and respond to constantly changing needs and priorities.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Capacity to program actuarial calculations.
