RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accurately collects and monitors data on a regular basis, reviewing for inconsistencies and errors to ensure data integrity.
  • Utilize CAT Management and data modeling software tools.
  • Responsible for the preparation of complex analyses and presents findings to management.
  • Take the lead in working with the team to create standard reports to keep management informed of current exposure accumulations and forecast of future risk. This will include the development of ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Effectively interacts with CAT management team members, underwriting technical assistants and any other clients to ensure data quality. Provides technical assistance as needed.
  • Responsible for and will Work closely with CAT Management and Product Line Managers to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of the data collections process.
  • Will work to continuously Identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements to processes, controls and technology systems related to CAT Management. Develop and implement recommended improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Finance/General Business, Engineering or similar.
  • At least 3 years of experience and demonstrated proficiency in data management and/or analytical tools.
  • Preference for experience in catastrophe modeling and reporting.
  • Must be able to demonstrate superb data mining skills.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Excel and SQL knowledge required.
  • Insurance and/or reinsurance background preferred.
