RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Apply and integrate statistical, mathematical, predictive modeling and business analysis skills to manage and manipulate complex high volume data from a variety of sources.
  • Support testing and training activities and generate users’ documentation.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end process of analytical solutioning, business engagement, conceptualization, technical specification, model development and operational deployment.
  • Develop data science solutions in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams focused on delivering competitive advantages, superior insights and operating efficiencies.
  • Continually create innovations in both analytic algorithms/methodologies and business improvements that bring business impact. Evaluate and propose new tools and technologies to meet the needs of the global organization.
  • Business requirements elicitation, data acquisition and audit with international stakeholders from different lines of business and from various regions across the globe.
  • 3rd-Level-Support for business-critical applications and use cases. Conduct PoCs and demos.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative/mathematical discipline.
  • At least 3 years developing quantitative models and data analysis, with depth in a practice area in applied statistics / mathematics, artificial intelligence or big data domains. Experience in working with both structured and unstructured data required.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in statistical modelling, optimization and computational algorithms in the machine learning domain. It will be necessary to use these analytical techniques to solve business problems, educate stakeholders and to demonstrate analytics leadership.
  • Excellent experience and proficiency in R and Python. Solid software development experience with proficiency in object-oriented programming, version control, and continuous integration, using tools such as Git and Jira. Familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem is desirable.
  • Business fluency in written and spoken English; German knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to carry out tasks independently in non-standardized work situations.
  • Problem solving skills based on practice and precedent as well as ability to analyze factual information.
