RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Working across departments with many internal professionals, including front line managers, human resources, finance and technology.
  • Leadership and creativity in advancing current reporting and datasets to meet future needs as the company continues build an advanced Analytics team.
  • Play a leading role on the Analytics team, working closely with senior leaders to support and execute on key strategic projects.
  • Leading key initiatives within the company with a focus on deep learning analysis and overall strategy.
  • Development of internal databases to support these efforts.
  • Supporting role out to front line managers and teams.
  • Monthly responsibility for sales and renewal key performance indicators. Analyzing results plus working with technology to ensure reporting and databases are efficiently set up for both analytical and front line use.
  • Working with senior leaders to support both large project and ad-hoc requests.
  • Creating data mining architecture/models using statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies.
  • Apply your knowledge of database platforms to drive our usage of advanced analytics to improve our customer experience.
  • Coaching and informal managing of junior analysts.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, finance, computer science, statistics, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in the financial industry, specifically insurance.
  • Analytical mind and strategic thinking skills coupled with results orientation.
  • Skilled communicator, ability to interact with multiple teams and departments and adapt information to fit the audience.
  • Strong technical understanding to challenge the business.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing and growing environment.
  • Advanced Excel and SQL skillset.
  • Programming knowledge: SAS, R. MS Access skills desirable.
