RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in managing the operation of model risk validation for all upstream and downstream models for on-going model risk management.
  • To lead and coordinate the model validation projects and provide annual spot checking support in accordance to the model risk policy and spot checking requirement.
  • Perform technical review and challenge the robustness of model validation results; also to identify emerging model risk and systemic issues during the model validation process.
  • Promote model risk culture across Asia business units; also work closely with local business units to follow up model risk matters.
  • Provide on-going performance management to validation team to ensure the robustness of work.
  • Drive to deliver the long term goal of operation efficiency in model validation.
  • Perform Model risk oversight, conduct model risk reporting, and escalate model risk issues to key risk stakeholders.
  • Drive the change and implementation of team’s initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree holder and possess professional actuarial qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in the life insurance or actuarial consultant industry.
  • Strong in people management and performance management of the team.
  • Sound actuarial modeling skills; and experience in AXIS is an advantage.
  • Good communication and project management skills.
  • Demonstrate initiatives, commitment and able to work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and critical thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work across multiple parties.
  • Effective command of English, both spoken and written.
