RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with the AVP, Economic Capital to review, challenge, validate and recommend enhancements to Solvency II Economic Capital methodology, modeling and processes.
  • Collaborate with Pricing, Reserving, Reinsurance and Finance to provide risk and capital insights to key business decision making; help promote one version of truth across the actuarial community.
  • Keep abreast of latest development of risk and capital modeling methodology and practice, as well as regulatory requirements; prepare QIS and other regulatory responses with regard to capital modeling as required.
  • Help automate/streamline current processes in support of capital production, embedded use and financial modeling across the team and in Finance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement in Economic Capital model governance.
  • Actively provide training and facilitate knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Provide support to risk calibration and other BaU/ad-hoc activities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field e.g. Actuarial, Mathematics, Statistics/Econometrics, Data Analytics, Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 4 years of actuarial experience with at least 5 actuarial exams.
  • Strong quantitative analysis and programming skills.
  • Effective communication to both technical and non-technical audience.
  • Experience with stochastic based Capital/Financial Modelling is an asset.
