RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and ensure timely delivery of individual benefit calculations.
  • Review client data that has previously been prepared including performance of gain/loss analysis and assumption review.
  • Review valuation reports and related required reporting for both PPA and Non-ERISA/Church/Government plans.
  • Lead and review special projects, such as plan design, plan terminations, lump sum windows, multi-year projections, client conversions, and government forms.
  • Primary contact for the client including independently leading client meetings and presentations.
  • Consult with clients regarding benefit administration, pension regulations, and general retirement consulting topics.
  • Review analyst work; act as final technical review for client projects.
  • Train and mentor actuarial analysts on technical work and client interaction.
  • Assist leadership with internal development as needed.
  • Analyze and improve internal processes and procedures to increase accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Stay up to date on marketplace, regulations and trends related to all types of Defined Benefit pension plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
  • 10+ years pension-related consulting experience.
  • FSA designation preferred, ASA/EA required.
  • Proven client management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Superior analytical ability.
  • Strong presentation skills.
