RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs valuation of insurance liabilities of the group companies in the region.
  • Conducts independent and peer reviews of policies liabilities of the group companies in the region.
  • Supports and enhances the governance of the reserving and other actuarial related aspects in the region.
  • Supports on any actuarial related works to meet local regulatory requirements and international accounting standards.
  • Develops actuarial models and tools to monitor and analyze the financial performance of the group companies.
  • Assists in the implementation and maintenance of actuarial strategies, policies and guidelines.
  • Provides support and implement IFRS17 & RBC2 projects within the region.
  • Provides support on projects, including M&A, group company integration, channel or business expansions, or other projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Statistics.
  • Good progress in recognized Actuarial association.
  • 5 years of broad P&C actuarial experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in P&C reserving.
  • Knowledge on Monetary Authority of Singapore liability valuation and RBC requirements.
  • Knowledge on the liability valuation and RBC requirements of ASEAN countries is a plus.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Ability to learn independently and solve technical problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong programming skills; and proficient in Excel, ResQ and SAS.
