RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Building, enhancing and maintaining proprietary models for property & marine business.
  • Working with underwriters in pricing and risk assessments of all Asian property, marine& specialty business.
  • Working in conjunction with the Risk Management team, capture and maintain company exposures over all classes of business.
  • Assist in identifying new classes of business through profitability studies.
  • Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial or related quantitative field.
  • Associate, Casualty Actuarial Society or equivalent designation required.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ insurance or reinsurance pricing experience with heavy emphasis on property and marine classes of international business.
  • Working knowledge of third party modeling software.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
  • Proven organizational and timekeeping skills and a strong sense of attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple projects within tight timeframe.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum direction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, i.e.,a thorough command of the English language including excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • The ability to deal effectively and courteously with clients and colleagues, and to exercise discretion and confidentiality in all matters.
  • Must be able to work outside of normal office hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays if necessary.
