  • Efficient performance of all regular and special audits based on the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors, local regulations and Group Audit requirements. Where applicable in collaboration with other audit units in the Group. Develop a good understanding of the regulatory environment in the Asia/Pacific Region and keeping up with regulatory changes in these countries.
  • Coordinating all auditing issues and ensuring excellent communication with management of all units to be audited.
  • Create valuable business insight from internal audit activity to support decision making.
  • Issuing audit reports of high quality with particular attention to major or serious deficiencies and to the measures agreed to remedy them.
  • Monitoring of the implementation of agreed measures to remedy deficiencies appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Building a professional working relationship with the business as a trusted advisor.
  • Being a proactive member and contributor to the One Audit Community of the company.
  • Good university degree, preferably in Business, Risk Management, Engineering, Math, Actuarial Studies or Law.
  • At least five years of proven full-time professional experience in non-life insurance underwriting, claims or other technical areas, preferable in reinsurance.
  • Good knowledge of Asia/Pacific re/insurance market and regulations.
  • Non-Life re/insurance experience required.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to come to grips with complex issues.
  • Relevant certifications is an advantage.
  • Good command of oral and written English required, strong Asian language skills preferred.
  • Work experience in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong team player sharing relevant information, highly motivated and conscientious approach to work.
  • Confident and convincing manner, proven negotiating skills and assertiveness.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and track progress.
