  • Completion of risk assessments and advising business stakeholders on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a risk and control listing.
  • Support the management of Risk Registers.
  • Test identified key controls to ensure controls are operating as designed.
  • Consult with the business in developing remediation plans and tracking them to completion.
  • Data gathering and completing metrics reporting.
  • Deliver governance requirements relating to supplier risk management, business continuity, cyber security, model inventory management etc.
  • Project Lead for risk mitigation projects being delivered by corporate risk function.
  • Support & consult on business/IT initiated projects that require input and support by corporate risk.
  • Assist in developing material for risk committees.
  • Deliver optimal operational risk management reporting with appropriate risk metrics.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on risk events, work/consult with the respective business units to perform root cause analysis, identify mitigating actions, and track the actions to closure.
  • Education or equivalent working experience: Business or technology undergraduate degree, risk management designation.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Risk Management Internal Audit or External Audit.
  • In depth knowledge of risk frameworks such as COSO, COBIT and the practical implementation of same are desired. Knowledge of risk management practices and oversight functions.
  • Knowledge of P&C Personal Lines is an asset.
  • Knowledge in cyber security is an asset.
  • Experience leading projects is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience working in the Insurance Industry is an asset.
