  • Perform actuarial research, experience studies and cost trend analyses.
  • Perform monthly IBNR and reserve calculation and assist Finance with month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Provide actuarial support for financial forecast and monitor financial results.
  • Assist with rate development and perform reviews for data adequacy and for actuarial soundness.
  • Assist with provider contracting effort.
  • Evaluate government reimbursement process to determine areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and provide data to external regulatory agencies.
  • Perform ad hoc actuarial projects and other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Mentor analysts in the actuarial department.
  • Bachelor's degree required, field of Study: Actuarial Science, Math, or Finance.
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries is required.
  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries is preferred.
  • 5+ years of actuarial experience and health care experience.
  • Medicaid experience is preferred.
  • SQL Programming knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems, think creatively, strategically and analytical.
  • Extremely organized, sharp attention to detail, strong work ethic, expansive learner.
