  • Responsible for the overall Nat Cat pricing and accumulation control for key markets including India, Australia, and South East Asia.
  • Lead a team of modelling professionals to deliver Cat analytics to business stakeholders, using vendor models and internally developed tools for catastrophe perils.
  • Able to independently structure and complete more complex modeling analyses.
  • Capable of conducting Cat peril research and model evaluation studies, and manage projects as required.
  • Mentor junior analysts.
  • Actively contributing ideas and avenues for exploration throughout the year to both the APAC and Global CAT teams, where appropriate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a highly numerate structured discipline, such as actuarial science, engineering, computer science.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving approach.
  • Clear communicator, able to structure an argument and explain complex issues in a simple way.
  • Experience in using 3rd party CAT model/s required such as RMS and/or AIR.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel or Access.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required - ability to multi-task.
  • Team player, interested in sharing knowledge.
  • 6 - 12 years of experience in the reinsurance industry is preferred.
  • SQL, VBA or GIS programming skills are a distinct advantage.
