RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide expertise/guidance/support to the local teams on a project basis i.e. regional consultant in any technical/quantitative matters
  • Champion/Lead on local projects that require analysis of trends, factors, reserves, and pricing to develop conclusions and present results to stakeholders.
  • Provide solutions & conduct training for the P&C Internship Program which aims at process improvements to streamline workflows through macro-based Excels and templates.
  • Ownership of Retail P&C monthly conference which effectively monitors P&C KPIs by line of business and across the region.
  • Lead in-depth analysis on our strategic initiatives, markets and client segments as means of supporting team colleagues within the P&C Retail key functions.
  • Champion/Lead strategic projects within the remit of the Regional Retail P&C team including all ad hoc cross-team collaborations i.e. M&A, Telematics, A&H, actuarial etc.
  • Establish trusted relationships with all relevant stakeholders/teams within the Regional Office/Head Office as well as across all the local entities on different levels of seniority as the team's interface for strategy and business planning.
  • Support the Head of Regional Retail P&C closely in all duties within his parameters.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • An actuary or an accountant with strong P&C background.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in big four, consultancy firms or/and M&A/Finance departments of international insurance groups.
  • Property & Casualty insurance with experience in various functions.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills in English.
  • Capacity to work under stress whilst influencing stakeholders.
  • Mandarin speaker will be a plus but is not mandatory.
  • P&C P&L and B&S Modeling, valuation methods and project management skills in coordinating with various stakeholders across cultures.
