  • Allocate and plan for available actuarial resources to fulfill departmental responsibilities.
  • Manage performance reviews, train and coach group members to attain the company's strategic objectives.
  • Work on various company tasks forces or committees as actuarial services representative.
  • Manage and provide technical guidance to the employees responsible for conducting actuarial studies and activities.
  • Manage the team's operations by organizing, planning and monitoring the optimal use of human resources in accordance with the company's strategic objectives and with budget planning.
  • Foster team work and guide employee members' training and development.
  • Represent the company in discussions/negotiations.
  • University degree in Actuarial Sciences or Mathematics.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience, including 2 years of coaching/supervising a team.
  • Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, preferred.
  • ACAS/FCAS designation, preferred.
  • Advanced skills in negotiating, gaining commitment and building strategic relationships.
  • Work experience in property and casualty insurance, specifically in pricing.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, SAS and VBA.
  • English is necessary, French is an asset.
