  • Proactively assist the team in various aspects of the project.

  • Supporting actuarial product teams in a broad range of consulting services and audit support assignments.
  • Conduct analysis for a variety of lines of business, including personal and commercial lines, such as property, automobile liability, general liability, medical malpractice, and mass tort liability.
  • Work directly with actuaries and other actuarial students on a variety of projects, including cross-functional projects with other departments within the company.
  • Participate in business development activities such as development of service proposals and quotes, industry presentations, marketing material, as well fostering good communication with the company clients to support relationship building.
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with a strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, mathematics or related quantitative disciplines.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional services firm.
  • Successfully completed 2 or more SOA/CAS exams and active pursuit of actuarial examinations.
  • Developing understanding of Canadian GAAP and GAAS.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team environment.

  • Preparing financial statements and personal and corporate tax returns and other information returns and related correspondence.
  • Providing assistance to clients with payroll and GST compliance.
