RESPONSIBILITIES
  • In particular, the candidate will concentrate on creating efficiencies and reducing operational risk by utilizing increased automation.
  • Ability to implement new technologies with cutting-edge machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Collaborate with product, data, IT, analytical and business development teams to build advanced data solutions.
  • Work with the data management teams and analysts to identify technical solutions that can deliver actionable insights and reliable predictions.
  • Prototyping/Testing algorithms to help inform us what to build.
  • Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in a field that has very applicable use of data science / statistics techniques.
  • Fluent in data fundamentals: SQL, data manipulation using a procedural language, statistics, experimentation, and modelling.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with minimum 3 years of experience with data science tools, including Python, R, Scala, Julia, or SAS.
  • Familiarity with using cloud services like AWS, Azure, Big Data tools in data science solutions.
  • Strong business acumen; ability to create a business case for strategic investments that support data science/machine learning.
  • Proven experience partnering, collaborating, and communicating with business stakeholders and engineers, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple work streams simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, especially as it relates to supporting and influencing data science programs.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
