  • Provide lead consulting and client relationship management to multiemployer pension clients that considers clients’ priorities, strategic plans, and unique challenges.
  • Lead the firm’s multiemployer actuarial consulting practice.
  • Demonstrate listening, writing and speaking skills required to effectively address diverse technical and nontechnical audiences in both formal and informal settings.
  • Assist with new business development, including attending/speaking at relevant industry conferences, writing articles and insight pieces for the company’s website and outside publications, and assisting with proposal evaluation, drafting and review.
  • Demonstrate exemplary level of personal and professional integrity, and ability to support and promote the company’s core values.
  • Prioritize, organize and delegate assignments to staff.
  • Meet personal billable hours goals and manage allocation of staff resources to support direct reports in meeting their billable hours’ goals.
  • Nurture a supportive work environment to foster employees’ personal growth and professional development.
  • Act as an advisor to the Chief Actuary on matters related to multiemployer pension plans and general actuarial matters.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or minimum 10 years of significant actuarial experience with valuations, assumptions setting, experience analysis, plan design, strategic planning and benefit program software.
  • Enrolled Actuary and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
