RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops data sets to be used by other members of the department, including marketing, actuarial, product teams.
  • Creates new reports or elements in response to ad hoc data analysis.
  • Updates models on a timely basis, analyzing actual data to improve processes.
  • Troubleshoots as necessary when the automated processes fail or reports show inconsistencies.
  • Answers complex data-related inquires and provides data to internal customers as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated expertise performing data analysis.
  • Proficiency manipulating data in Excel.
  • Understanding of concept of insurance products and reserving.
  • Ability to research company raw data and use that data to build analytical data stores.
  • Ability to use relational database products to write data queries in SQL, build, update and maintain data cubes in SQL.
  • Experience in assembling code into SSIS packages.
  • Demonstrated problem solving experience gained through related coursework and work experience.
  • 1 or more years of experience with relational database tools and concepts.
  • BA/BS degree in quantitative field of study.
  • Property and Casualty Insurance experience preferred.
