Director, Product Proposition & Advanced Marketing

  • Utilizing the inputs & insights from the Product Insights & Development team, this role “owns” the product lifecycle including:
  • Understand challenges and opportunities for product enhancements that will continue to keep TLB at the forefront of the industry including insight into customer use of current products, untapped opportunities and buyer personas.
  • Provide timely market updates, reports, ideas to management to inform strategy and decision making.
  • Develop business cases for new products, test new products.
  • Oversee product implementation via TLB Product Development Process.
  • Develop product messaging that differentiates TLB products from others in the market.
  • Communicate the value of new products to internal staff, the sales team and distribution partners.
  • Develop sales tools that facilitate the selling process, including brochures, cases studies, videos, blog posts, website content, etc.
  • Drive effective “go to market” plans in collaboration with IT, admin staff, sales, marketing and communications.
  • Speak and present about products to both external and internal audiences.
  • Maintain the design and recommend language and layout improvements to product illustrations within compliance guidelines.
  • Develop new HNW Advanced Marketing capabilities, resources and tools to support distribution partners to more effectively develop HNW markets - including but not limited to the following:
  • HNW Academy concept, with TLB exclusive training and thought leadership around HNW underwriting, case design, customer insights, and trends.
  • Advance Marketing tools and educational materials on HNW concepts, e.g., estate planning, business and family planning, etc.
  • Thought Leadership demonstrating TLB’s unique perspective and capabilities in the HNW market.
  • Leverage existing resources capabilities.
  • Bachelor degree required, Masters preferred.
  • Native command of written and spoken English.
  • 10-15 years of financial industry and insurance experience, with focus on marketing, product marketing and distribution.
  • Experience working with international HNW markets outside of Hong Kong, understanding of market dynamics and needs.
  • Desired:
  • International working experience and familiarity with Asia, Americas, and European markets, business practices, cultural nuances.
  • Ability to network and leverage resources and expertise where beneficial to TLB.
  • Project leadership skills including planning, scheduling, monitoring and critical path management.
  • Proficient in use of MS office programs.
