RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Owning and refining third-party data acquisition strategy, which includes optimizing our current data for strategic and financial value across the enterprise and in partnership with our parent companies, to help our businesses achieve overall goals
  • Leading the implementation of this strategy, defining key opportunities for increasing value and reducing cost of our spend in partnership with businesses, technology and operations
  • Working with cross-functional teams, lead the analysis of new and substitute business opportunities, such as framework design, key assessment criteria, sourcing and testing for new and substitute data to meet stakeholder needs
  • Understanding how data is used across the enterprise and continuously seeking to improve / innovating to increase impact and make more efficient, for example through analytical insights, greater decision-support, rationalization and automation
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with third-party vendors, including traditional data providers, new entrants and potentially innovative new sources
  • Developing and monitoring key metrics for analyzing third-party service levels, data integrity, timeliness and quality; impact/value; utilization and spending against target objectives / requirements
  • Contributing to the development of a data governance framework across the company to ensure that data assets are managed appropriately across the organization. Working closely with the company’s accounting and compliance teams to ensure key regulatory and third-party contract requirements are appropriately managed and met
  • Assisting with special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; MBA or equivalent masters a plus
  • 3-5 years of work experience demonstrating strong analytical skills, business acumen / a commercial mindset, ability to create a business case and value strategic investments that support data management
  • Proven ability to lead and work within cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional working with third-party data providers and/or with data products a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High levels of computer literacy, proficiency in Excel
