RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directs and executes strategic, targeted inforce campaigns with high level of customer-centric integrity while having a significant positive impact on profitability.
  • Directs the design and development of approaches to inforce management to make improvements in the economies for Retirement Plan Services.
  • Directs/executes approved strategy decisions and contributes to strategy creation for inforce management for RPS.
  • Collaborates with internal/external stakeholders to position solutions in an open and easy-to-understand manner, consistent with enterprise goals.
  • Proactively partners with risk management to develop and implement appropriate policies and practices to mitigate risk.
  • Leads a team that will execute inforce management functions.
  • Leads team to monitor developments in the financial landscape and regulatory environment applicable inforce management.
  • Directs, establishes and implements priorities, performance goals, and objectives to ensure departmental results.
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future inforce management strategies.
  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects.
  • Directs/executes approved strategy decisions and contributes to strategy creation for assigned area/s of responsibility.
  • Provides strategic direction to build and enhance the capability inforce block of business.
  • Remains current in profession and industry trends.
  • Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by: - Making suggestions for improvement - Learning new skills, procedures and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • CFA or Actuary designations desirable.
  • 10+ Years of insurance industry experience with a focus on technical product and profitability analysis or experience that directly aligns to the specific responsibilities of this role, incl. 3+ managerial, and/or demonstrated leadership expectations.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate knowledgeably and credibly with senior management and internal constituents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
  • Works with mathematical concepts such as averages and/or variances.
  • Ability to interpret and apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
