RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Gather requirements from appropriate business partners for projects with minimal help, including necessary data for analysis to be performed.
  • Delve deeply into a varying array of large data sources, determining the appropriate data for the analysis to be performed, discovering issues, identifying potential uses, and preparing for analysis.
  • Establish and systematically performs processes to assess and validate data accuracy. Finalize the appropriate data for the analysis to be performed under supervision and constructs modeling data sets.
  • Determine and perform appropriate exploratory analysis such as data mining, empirical data analysis, univariate analysis, partitioning analysis, etc.
  • Work with and streamline established data warehouses, initiate new development of databases, production data, and available tools to build strategic datasets in support of key initiatives.
  • Ascertain and execute plans to build, implement and maintain predictive models using available tools and programming languages. Monitor and provide feedback on model performance and recalibrate model as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree in Statistics/Applied Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related quantitative field and two years of experience in the job offered or two years’ experience data mining.
  • Experience must include two years of the following: advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, data manipulation and cleaning; data management and pre-modeling, modeling design and monitoring, and identification and resolution of data issues.
  • Experience must include 2 years with any combination of 3 of the following programming languages: SAS, SQL, VBA, R, Python. Experience may be gained concurrently.
