  • Helping to grow the Asia Pacific Life business - a high priority objective for the company.
  • Developing a high profile within the business and establishing regular contact with key stakeholders and decision makers.
  • To become the internally recognized expert on the pricing and product development of long term Critical Illness business worldwide.
  • Close collaboration with the Asia Pacific regional unit and global experts on the development of new products.
  • Promoting the company’s expertise through targeted marketing efforts, supporting client visits and externally representing and promoting the company’s capabilities.
  • Defining group level assumptions, pricing benchmarks and risk frameworks for various product lines.
  • Ensuring the consistency of pricing methodologies, group level assumptions and standards at a global level.
  • Reviewing complex and unusual deals, potentially leading on pricing if required.
  • Sharing of best practice for pricing and product development across the regions.
  • You are a senior life & health re/insurance professional who has a proven track record in the Asia Pacific region. You have the skill, competence and mindset to enable you to add value in areas outside your immediate area of expertise.
  • As a technically excellent individual you will have the ability to be pragmatic and demonstrate commercial sense. A desire to experience new and challenging areas is a key requirement.
  • You enjoy collaborating with your colleagues as well as working on your own. Your preference is being part of an international and multicultural environment, handling diverse tasks, yet always ready to serve the team and meet the business needs. Moreover, you have the following background, skills and mindset:
  • A Qualified Actuary with at least 8 years of Life and Health re/insurance structuring or pricing experience.
  • A deep knowledge of Life & Health products, distribution and reinsurance structures within the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Experience in actuarial projections systems or statistical software is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional language skills would be an advantage.
