  • Review plan asset and census data.
  • Prepare annual funding reports and required AFTAP certifications. Complete and certify Schedule SB with funding information.
  • Prepare/review annual PBGC premium filings for certification.
  • Prepare/review defined benefit terminated participant benefit calculations.
  • Prepare/review new plan studies for potential clients - traditional defined benefit plans and cash balance plans.
  • Review general non-discrimination testing when a DC plan is to be associated with the new plan.
  • Prepare/review IRS min/max and ASC 715 financial reporting for qualified plans.
  • Participate in discussions with auditors regarding the determination of appropriate discount rates.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study or equivalent experience.
  • Enrolled Actuary designation required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an enrolled actuary for small to medium sized plans required.
  • Experience with Relius Administration software and plan documents preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize a heavy workload.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work under pressure.
