  • Be a strategic resource and the natural link between Finance, business leaders and technical functions across all levels to provide insight into underlying performance, issues and opportunities.
  • Deliver insight and support strategic initiatives and decision making; represent Finance function at appropriate forums.
  • Deliver detailed, complex information relating to all aspects of financial performance in order to enhance business decision making.
  • Lead the annual planning and regular forecast process for Life & Savings through close work with the business.
  • Ensure that targets are stretching but realistic and outputs are robust.
  • Drive business initiatives on behalf of Finance, ensuring all opportunities are subject to appropriate review and challenge.
  • Keep abreast of key, relevant industry trends and articulate potential impact on performance relative to competitors.
  • Drive the performance of the Life & Savings business in APAC to ensure delivery of strategic objectives and financial targets.
  • Where necessary, develop and communicate initiatives to address any performance gaps.
  • Continually challenge the status quo to identify new business initiatives that will enhance business performance.
  • Develop and lead relationships with key stakeholders including business leaders to create smooth channels for communicating performance issues that may be of a sensitive nature.
  • Master degree in Finance or equivalent field, ideally with a Life actuarial background.
  • Relevant experience in Finance and/or performance management.
  • Expertise in Life insurance with good knowledge of business and products.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills coupled with good financial acumen.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, planning, organizing skills.
  • Familiar with typical Finance systems.
  • Proficient English language.
