RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Calculate and review monthly reserve reporting. Develop existing reserve models and implement basis changes.
  • Perform actuarial analysis and experience studies then document recommended changes to actuarial assumptions for reserving. Conduct regular Reserve adequacy studies.
  • Support the statutory reporting process to ensure audit sign off, regulatory reporting submissions and other corporate reporting submissions.
  • Support the calculations required for Solvency II reporting in particular Pillar I technical reserves, data quality assessment and Pillar III reporting.
  • Develop actuarial and other statistical models for data analysis, analyse results and communicate findings to the Actuarial Manager.
  • Liaise with IT, Finance and Operations to ensure actuarial data requirements are complete, accurate and appropriate for use.
  • Provide actuarial and technical support to the business when required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Fully qualified in the UK (or equivalent) actuarial exams with
  • Crystal Reporting (or equivalent data gathering tool) experience preferred.
  • ResQ modelling and development experience an advantage.
  • Strong Microsoft experience desirable especially Excel and Access knowledge. Also Visual Basic experience if possible.
