RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supporting the design, development and implementation of the overall risk management process.
  • Analysing current risks; identifying potential risks that are affecting the company; and creating contingency plans to manage crises.
  • Supporting the activities of the company’s Enterprise Risk Management Committee.
  • Working closely with the Board of Directors Subcommittee and with the internal audit function.
  • Ensuring appropriate and accurate documentation of risks; implications; impacts and mitigations.
  • Improving the existing framework to ensure consideration of emerging risks/ threats and reports; and/ or escalating to the relevant person.
  • Conducting policy and compliance audits.
  • Driving a risk culture in the business through challenging discussions and communication.
  • Preparing reports and presenting recommendations accordingly.
  • Building risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Master’s Degree or equivalent qualifications in Risk Management, Business Studies, Finance, Economics or related field.
  • A minimum of ten years’ experience in a risk management environment.
  • High level of understanding and ability to implement Enterprise Risk Management framework and process.
  • Good knowledge of risk assessment and control.
  • Ability to understand broader business issues.
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
  • Ability to provide and respond to challenge at senior/ executive level.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
  • Strong computer and research skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
