RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, motivate and develop the Business Development team.
  • Identify new market needs and client insights in order to generate meaningful business opportunities.
  • Support select divisional and business unit strategic initiatives with strong client focus.
  • Drive discussions with clients on key strategic topics such as capital management and regulatory developments.
  • Act as dedicated Business Development partner for select client accounts; be a trusted advisor on specific deal teams and support the execution of transactions as needed.
  • Provide expert input during transactions to ensure solutions meet client objectives.
  • Ensure the highest quality output produced by your team, in particular client and deal analyses and external pitch materials.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Relevant work experience including excellent understanding of L&H re/insurance markets, products and trends.
  • Strong knowledge and interest in the areas of corporate finance, regulatory and rating frameworks, accounting as well as company valuation drivers.
  • Proven track record of originating new business; evidence of the ability to make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience and judgment.
  • Experience in effectively leading and developing teams, delegating authority to team professionals, whilst collaborating across various teams and functions.
  • An engaging personality that lives the company's Leadership Imperatives.
  • Demonstrates strategic vision and agility - ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into a plan with a relentless focus on execution.
  • Out of the box thinker; comfortable working on solutions across a broad range of challenges.
  • A strong communicator who is able to present complex information both to technical and non-technical audiences in a confident, simple and concise way.
  • A 'doer' - someone who likes to talk enough about what needs to happen but is itching to get the job done.
  • Actuarial and other qualifications are valued but not required.
  • Fluent command of English, additional language skills advantageous.
