  • Act as the Actuarial representative on various company task forces and committees, as required.
  • Make appropriate recommendations, based on reports by actuarial analysts, to improve the performance of products and services.
  • Manage performance reviews, training and coaching for group members in order to meet the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Manage the team’s operations by organizing, planning and controlling optimal use of human, financial and material resources according to company strategies and within the approved budget. Promote teamwork and guide the training and development of team members.
  • Manage the group members responsible for actuarial research and work and provide them with technical advice.
  • Represent the company in discussions and negotiations with regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to company-wide implementation of the IFRS17 accounting standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science.
  • ACAS or FCAS designation is an asset.
  • At least 7 years of actuarial experience.
  • Interpersonal communication skills, strong leadership and ability to influence.
  • Sense of accountability, organizational skills and ability to handle stress.
  • Analytical and summarizing skills and proficiency in using management tools.
  • Ability at setting strategic directions, decision-making, communicating information, and managing and coaching a team.
  • Ability to support change and communicate tactfully and diplomatically.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Bilingualism, written and oral.
