RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as coverage officer for an Operating Entity, including support for actuarial annual and quarterly closing process.
  • Lead and/or participate in Life and Health segment related projects and initiatives with other Group Centers and/or operating entities e.g. IFRS 17 implementation.
  • Contribute to the execution of the Actuarial Function governance activities.
  • Active support in the product approval process.
  • Providing analytical support and preparation of regular and/or ad hoc reports.
  • Travel to operating entities is required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree with majors in actuarial science, economics, mathematics or other related fields.
  • Qualified actuary.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. An additional language is a plus.
  • Solid IT skills that include advanced MS Office.
  • Good knowledge of SAP ECCS.
  • Strong experience in actuarial, financial accounting or risk analysis with focus in Life business. Experience gained in an operational unit would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Life insurance and financial services sector. Strong market knowledge of a core market will be an advantage.
  • Understanding of typical actuarial related Life Insurance Company's processes.
  • Familiarity with market-consistent concepts and exposure to industry developments such as Solvency II, IFRS 4 Phase 2, etc.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting methodology.
  • Good track record of being able to work simultaneously on several projects with the skills to prioritize among those.
  • Work independently, with results orientation, a strong sense of cooperation and ability to work toward team success.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including the willingness to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
  • Motivated to pursue an international career.
