  • Assist in pricing, including communication of indications to business units and assessment of loss reduction options and/or preparation of pricing proposals and state rate filings where applicable.
  • Attend meetings to review results and recommendations with Underwriting when appropriate.
  • Assist in provision to management of tools to drive appropriate policy level decision making.
  • Assist in providing front-line pricing support to business units, underwriting, and management on a collaborative basis as needed.
  • Assist with monitoring of changes to aggregate pricing levels and profitability through periodic analyses.
  • Assist with the preparation of special reports, data compilations, analysis of company and industry experience, as well as other ad hoc analysis requests.
  • Assist in the maintenance of automated systems and pricing models.
  • Develop a foundational knowledge of the functions performed by the Actuarial Pricing function, and how it relates to other functional areas of the organization.
  • Requires solid analytical skills and a commitment to developing an actuarial knowledge base.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills also required.
  • College Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics or Economics preferred.
