RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Catastrophe Modeling: Use external model to assess catastrophe risk for commercial property, marine, onshore & offshore energy, and workers’ compensation lines of business.
  • A thorough understanding of vendor catastrophe models is a requirement.
  • Work with IT developers to enhance the underwriting process.
  • Data Controls Support: Implement controls for the purpose of data completeness and accuracy.
  • This includes the auditing of data records.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor degree with majors in mathematics, statistics, engineering or related fields.
  • At least 5-10 years’ experience with 3rd party catastrophe modeling software, AIR is preferred.
  • Management experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Team player interested in sharing knowledge.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill and critical thinking required.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving approach.
  • Clear communicator, able to structure an argument and ability to explain complex issues in a simple way.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Coding requirement in MSSQL, MS Access.
  • VBA, C# , GIS preferred , but not required.
