RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess current health care and benefit programs, market and market trends, legislative, tax changes that impact current programs.
  • Analyze and review benefit programs and recommend changes and enhancements as necessary to ensure the programs are efficient, market competitive, compliant with tax laws, etc.
  • Design and develop templates, decision matrix and processes so programs are assessed and evaluated on a consistent basis.
  • Develop reporting metrics and benchmarking regarding current plan performance and costs, including risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor overall health care and benefit programs in regards to adherence to internal policies and external legislation including compliance.
  • Establish Policies and Procedures for health care and benefit programs.
  • Develop health care budgets, financial reporting and data analytics via data warehouse.
  • Special Projects - these projects will center on health care benefits, but may overlap benefits policies and programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Finance or a related discipline.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience with at least 5 years in a Corporate Benefits or Benefits Consulting function with a strong background in design, development and delivery of benefit programs for large multinational company/ies is required.
  • Knowledge of legislation is required.
  • Global benefits experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and comprehension of insurance underwriting and actuarial concepts required.
  • Strong negotiation skills required.
  • Sense of urgency, attention to detail and accuracy, well organized and able to prioritize.
  • Automated benefit systems experience is required.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
