  • Provide Audit support services to a range of re/insurance, from registrants to single-parent captives.
  • Provide actuarial consulting services including reserving, pricing, merger and acquisition support, enterprise risk management and capital modeling, and other actuarial projects.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry, market, and competition; anticipate external market trends, internal and client needs.
  • Supervise and mentor Junior actuarial staff and assist in their professional development, as well as provide training to audit staff on actuarial issues.
  • Assist in the further development of our actuarial consultancy practice.
  • Liaise with other members of the company global network or firms.
  • Manage engagement economics to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Senior Managers:
  • Deliver results of actuarial work products to senior colleagues and clients.
  • Lead sales by driving new business proposals and extending the range of services currently provided to our re/insurance clients, with an emphasis on establishing long-term relationships.
  • Develop and present thought leadership material, both internally and externally.
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the actuarial practice.
  • Manager candidates:
  • Nearly or newly credentialed Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries or Casualty Actuarial Society (or equivalent with at least 5 years practicing experience within the insurance industry.
  • Proven Experience in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Senior Manager Candidates.
  • Credentialed Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries or Casualty Actuarial Society with at least 10 years’ practicing experience within the insurance industry.
  • Proven business development skills and excellence in building and maintaining senior client relationships.
  • Reserving or pricing experience across a wide range of property and casualty lines of business is essential.
  • Property catastrophe experience is a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge of catastrophe modeling and/or stochastic modeling platform a plus.
  • Experience with the Bermuda regulator, or with similar regulators in other jurisdiction would be an asset.
  • Experience in the development and parametrization of solvency II or other capital models would be advantageous for the senior manager role.
  • substantial knowledge of the solvency II regime and understanding of the Bermuda regulation relative to European requirements would be advantageous for the senior manager role.
  • Experience with leading teams and in people management, including coaching and developing staff.
  • Excellent communication skills as well as organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage several ongoing projects simultaneously while tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
