  • Work with the firm leadership to develop and implement existing and new market propositions.
  • Lead sales efforts including opportunity identification, qualification and proposal development/ presentation.
  • Contribute to thought leadership in the Actuarial field.
  • Build and develop long terms relationships with senior stakeholders across our client organizations and be seen as a trusted business advisor.
  • Lead the delivery of a portfolio of key engagements within the incumbent’s domain of expertise.
  • Supporting engagement delivery on all other Actuarial engagements.
  • Acting as a role model to develop and mentor team members and management to their highest potential.
  • Manage diverse teams and develop the strategies to overcome potential issues.
  • Be responsible for the day to day management of the department.
  • Manage key practice metrics including utilization, recovery, headcount, growth, team capabilities and profitability.
  • Drive engagement and practice quality and risk management activities.
  • Foster broad commitment to our purpose and values; inspire peers and teams to make an impact that matters.
  • Manage the development of a strong pipeline of talent for current/ future success; own and drive a talent experience.
  • Build a high performance culture by cultivating individual and team strengths; drive outstanding client service, often through large cross-business and/or cross border teams.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders and influencers, and use highly developed influencing skills to drive impact, often in complex situations.
  • Set & communicate strategic direction, excite people around the vision and goals and align diverse, cross-functional and cross-border teams to achieve success.
  • Anticipate market and competitor trends to develop and deliver bold and innovative solutions that differentiate the company with clients.
  • Lead from the front, acting as an exemplary role model for leaders at all levels; promote a strong sense of loyalty and followership and energize others to act.
  • Fellow of either the Society of Actuaries, Casualty Actuarial Society, or Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years’ relevant actuarial experience with significant experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry; preferably with some actuarial consulting experience.
