RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Source data from various sources, including source systems, Finance, Actuarial, IT, Business, and others.
  • Act as a point of contact with the various data sources for the purposes of assembling the data.
  • Validate data and check for consistency and reasonableness.
  • Analyze data from multiple sources. Assess results, applying insurance knowledge and judgment to understand results that exhibit meaningful departures from prior results or expected norms.
  • Format and supply results of analyses to various reports such as the quarterly risk profile, rate review dashboards, exposure and aggregation reports, presentations to the main risk committees including the Enterprise Risk Management Committee, Business Risk Committee, Finance and Investment Risk Committee, and Insurance Risk Committee.
  • Suggest improvements to existing reports and suggest new reports that could provide more insightful or different looks at aspects of the company’s risk profile.
  • Work with the various modeling teams to model capital, CAT, or other types of risk modeling, including both deterministic and stochastic analysis.
  • Make use of and update risk tools as needed, including the Risk Control Self-Assessment, New Business Process, and other Governance, Risk Management and Compliance tools.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Legal, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-year experience in Risk Management/Actuarial/Finance/Audit/Insurance.
  • Experience with financial statements.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to acquire and manipulate data.
  • Experience interacting with Legal, Actuarial, Compliance, Marketing, Operations.
  • Preferred Requirements:
  • Understanding of insurance principles, basic financial reporting requirements, and basic actuarial principles.
  • Experience with Display Software.
  • Ability to create and deliver meaningful presentations.
  • Ability to work without direction and deliver results on a timetable.
