  • Analyzes actuarial ratemaking data.
  • Prepares actuarial proposals for management.
  • Prepares responses to various requests for actuarial information.
  • Develops recommendations on rates and rating plans for leadership and implements changes to satisfy the financial objectives of the enterprise.
  • Prepares for and participates in marketing conferences.
  • Prepares filings for regulatory authorities.
  • Conducts actuarial research.
  • Conducts and coordinates companywide rate, rule, reserve, and financial needs studies.
  • Leads process improvements projects both within the department and within the enterprise.
  • Creates and maintain database resources used in conducting actuarial research.
  • Organizational skills including time management and the ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical skills, with detail orientation.
  • Knowledge of ratemaking methodologies.
  • 3-4 CAS exams.
  • Will have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5/4.0 both overall and in major.
  • Should have prior actuarial or related experience strongly preferred.
  • Have demonstrable current computer skills in Microsoft Office and/or other programming languages such as SQL.
  • Have knowledge and experience using object oriented programming language like Python, R, and SAS.
